Legendary photographer Nick Knight has fastened onto the notion that if people love looking at fashion images, they’ll love looking at how they’re created. Not in the tradition of a highly polished “behind the scenes” documentary, but as real time, in the moment, feel like it’s happening right now, kinda way.
As the previous post pointed out, everything’s getting faster. The big trick though is to make sure that things aren’t just delivered fast, they have to be interesting, useful or entertaining in the first place to warrant the express delivery.
“Entertaining”, “Informative” and “Useful” are good filters for all manner of communications now. If the audience is the network, then you can’t expect people to pass media content around if it’s not at least one of these things.
Watching Nick Knight shooting and livestreaming Lily Donaldson for V mag is one thing, watching paint dry is quite another.
